PIE Programs Receive Praise From State Education Evaluators & Governing Committee Members
Partnership for Innovation in Education Presented Local STEM Work to Ohio “Straight A” Fund Committee Evaluators
CINCINNATI – (Nov. 20, 2015) Partnership for Innovation in Education (PIE) presented its innovative STEM work with local schools during the Ohio General Assembly and Governor’s Office “Straight A Fund” Grant Committee Evaluation session held in Dublin, Ohio, on Thursday, November 12, 2015.
During the session, PIE presented the in-classroom STEM programming it developed in Cincinnati Public Schools and Milford Exempted Village Schools during the 2013-2015 school years funded by the inaugural “Straight A Fund” grant. PIE, its case partners, educators and principals showcased the creative, interactive apps developed by local students.
“We were honored to present the exciting work local students have developed as part of the ‘Straight A Fund’ program. It was a thrill to be selected as one of the two leading presenters at the session featuring all the 2014 ‘Straight A Fund’ recipients. This was a terrific way to share our successes and meet with the teachers and community partners involved in helping to improve learning opportunities and partnerships throughout our state,” said Mary Welsh Schlueter, CEO of PIE.
The event also consisted of a focus group discussion between teachers, principals, education administrators and “Straight A Fund” community partners where they could share experiences about how they have worked together to help learning in the classroom and what works best in a successful partnership.
